This is absolutely normal. Continue expressing milk and breastfeeding. The body needs time to adjust and understand the schedule and demand of breastmilk for the baby.
It is normal to have leaky and heavy breast during 1st few days of delivery.
Time for baby feeding pattern and initially baby will take less milk only
Express milk manually or by pump to collect and reuse or discard
For convinience you can use cotton cloth to avoid leakage during travel
As the milk is expressed out pain and heavy ness will go
So no need of any medications
Just expressing milk is enough - do it manually or by pump for reuse or discard
Heavy, leaking breasts with some tenderness are completely normal around day 5 to 7 postpartum. This is when your milk supply comes in fully and your body is still adjusting to your baby's feeding pattern.
Next Steps
Feed or pump often to relieve the fullness, and try a warm compress or shower just before feeding to help milk flow, then a cool compress afterward for comfort. Nursing pads can handle the leaking in between.
Health Tips
See your obstetrician or a lactation consultant if one breast turns red, feels hot, or develops a hard painful lump, or if you get fever or chills.
