If you have low milk secretion if course you can give formula but first check baby’s weight gain, urine stool output
Next Steps
Express milk once before feed so that you can measure amount of milk
Health Tips

Maximum times breast milk is adequate for baby but mother's interpretation makes it short. Feed the baby equally at night times because milk production is more in moonlight.
Next Steps
monitor urine output and weight gain for adequate breast feeding.

Formula feed can never be a substitute of mother's breast milk..so continue breastfeeding as far as possible and if needed u can give topup formula feed U can get Lactogen 1 formula feed take 1scoop (scoop provided with the powder itself)of powder  and mix it with 30ml of boiled water.Always use freshly prepared formula feed n don't keep the remaining feed for next time..discard it
Next Steps
*Don't bottle feed you can use palada/gokarnam spoon for giving the formula feed *child should be given feeds 2-3 hourly
Health Tips
To improve breast milk quantity mother has to increase the fluid intake to about 4Litres per day and have proper diet

It's better if you can continue with your breast milk only. You can increase milk production by taking capsule lactare 1 capsule three times a day for 10 days and zandu satavarex powder 2 scoops with milk twice a day.. If at all you can start with stage 1 formula.. But cows milk should not be given till one year of age..
