Breast Cancer

Recently my mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Below i am sharing the cytology report results: Microscopic Examination - Cellular smears show clusters of cells with enlarged hyperchromatic nuclei. There is mild anisonnucleosis. Few singly scattered cells with large hyperchromatic nuclei seen. Diagnosis - FNAC - Left Breast Lump - Intraduct carcinoma Adv - Excision Biopsy with intraoperative frozen section examination to rule out invasive malignancy. We are still waiting for biopsy reports. I would like to have your opinion on the same on what sort of treatment would be recommended for such a case

Treatment of breast cancer depends on stage of the disease. If cancer is limited to only breast and tumor is small then primary treatment will be surgery in the form of either Breast conservative or total breast removal. After surgery you may need chemotherapy and radiation therapy depending on risk factors of histopathology report.
