I have overite and overjet, im on braces and my dentist said i have to extract 3 teeth to fix this, 2 from top and 1 from lower. I have doubt that 1 teeth extraction on lower can lead to assymmetry. If 1 premolar tooth from the lower is extracted than another side would have one more teeth, than how my lower teeth will have symmetry ? Kindly waiting for your response.

You discuss with your orthodontist regarding tooth extraction in lower jaw .based on opg and clinical examination, treatment can be given. You can consult through this for further details.
Hi. If there is less space needed to be created then we usually remove one teeth only. It has a little to do with the symmetry but just thinking about symmetry if we extract 2 teeth instead of one it might result in more space left over after the treatment is accomplished.
I hope I was able to clarify your query. Have a nice day
