BRACES CONFUSION
I am getting my braces coming Tuesday. But, I don't want any change in my facial structure, it is already fine for me. I did hear my dentists saying something like, "Extraction is not required." And when I asked if my structure will change, they just said Ït is going to get better.". I don't want any change in my face shape :'(:'(. PLEASE HELP.

Hello,
If your doctor has told you no extraction is needed then the required about of space for the tooth alignment is present so no major changes will be seen but it will correct your alignment and will make you even more confident when you smile, speak . You can also consult as for a opinion.

When no extraction is taking place, no change in the facial profile can occur because minimal movement of teeth occurs without extraction. So do not worry, as there will be no change in facial shape.

You don't need to worry at all. If your dentist said there is no extraction required this means your case is not severe and you got ample space in jaw for minor ortho corrections. Trust me you won't see any facial structural changes if only the little bit change in contour of your lips but that will be so subtle that you won't appreciate as it's result of long process . Trust your doc.
