BP reading through digital machine
Hi if we take BP reading thru digital machine is it reliable to get almost accurate reading of BP
By measurement I mean not one reading but taking average of 3 readings (each reading taken after 2-3 minutes of previous reading) thru machine.
Now a days I have seen many big hospitals and clinic are using digital machines

mercury sphygmomanometer is highly accurate, there are concerns about the environmental toxicity of mercury and therefore these are being phased out.Digital BP instruments are fairly accurate with difference of 5 mm .You are following the proper instructions while using the digital BP instrument.while taking the readings don't consider the 1st reading,Instead take average of last 2 readings
