Both knee joint pain in a 62 yr old fema
62 yr old preobese diabetic hypersensitive female suffering from both knee joint pain since last 6 months which was slowly progressive and now has restricted daily activities. I wanted to know treatment modalities. There is no history of trauma in the past.

Hello As per your details regarding your condition the probable diagnosis is arthritic changes.yes these changes of arthritis basically start at the age of 50 n above these days.Reason can be overweight,sitting crosslegged or using Indian toilet,climbing stairs often and having a poor nutritious diet and less water consumption.Happens due to friction bt bones making knee joint due to decrease in synovial fluid within joints.Diabetes acts as a catalyst in arthritis.people with diabetes are more prone to have these changes.
Next Steps
It is not a condition to get terrified with. start with strengthening exercises, increase water intake,heating. Take mild brisk walks everyday for 20 min.
Health Tips
avoid sitting on floor and cross legged,use stools to sit. Avoid food that causes gastric and acidity.Such food increases joint pain and stiffness. Cover joint when sleeping under AC.
