Hi, my mother 66 who is diabetic had taken Covaxin second dose in May 2021, she is eligible for booster. I wanted to know which vaccine shall we consider Covisheild or Covaxin as a booster. Her SarsCov2 antibodies against spike protein are just 25 U/ML.

She can have covaxin as she received it is past. In our country, mixed schedule of vaccines is not in practise at present but studies showed good immunogenicity of mixed vaccines.

As per the govt guidelines, it is advisable to take same co vaccine,as booster,keeping in view of her age, and her Diabetes.
