There is no blood test as such if you don't have any underlying cause like Diabetes hypothyroidism or high cortisol levels but you can try being consistent Consistent to exercise or diet modification can only help

For a thorough obesity workup, get the following blood tests: (1) Thyroid profile — TSH, Free T3, Free T4 (hypothyroidism is a common hormonal cause of weight gain), (2) Fasting insulin + fasting blood glucose + HbA1c — to check for insulin resistance and pre-diabetes, (3) Lipid profile, (4) Morning serum cortisol — to rule out Cushing's syndrome, (5) LFT + KFT — general assessment, (6) Vitamin D and B12 — commonly deficient in obesity, (7) CBC, and (8) Prolactin if applicable. For your yo-yo rebound: extreme fasting causes muscle loss and slows your metabolism. When you stop, your body — now with less muscle and a slower metabolic rate — stores fat more aggressively, leading to 'rebound' weight above your starting point. Sustainable changes in diet and activity are far more effective long-term than crash fasting.
Next Steps
Get these tests done and consult a physician or endocrinologist to review results. Focus on gradual, sustainable dietary changes rather than extreme fasting. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.

Get TSH, HbA1c, fasting insulin, and cortisol checked. Extreme fasting drops your metabolism, which is why your weight rebounds quickly when you stop.
