Generally not. But it depends upon the cause of obesity. If it is hormonal then height may be affected. Again, there is no link between leanness and height. Height depends upon familial traits and the kind of physical activity you put in. Plus the spurt fepends on your hormones. Generally after the menarche (beginning of periods), height doesn't grow much.
