I was diagnosed with 8mm stone in left kiney in upper calyx..since den i am taking 15 drops berberis vulgaris 3 times a day..den i saw particles coming in urine...and now i have increased the dose to 20 drops...but now the problem is i m having blood in the urine at night..and in the early morning...and severe lower back cramps..what to do? Anything serious?

Hematuria(BLOOD IN URIN) : -
General causes due to heart failure.
Thrombosis & embolism.Malignant hypertension.Nephrosclerosis.Polyarteritis.
Sings :- Gross hematuria discolored urine. Occult hematuria.Intermittent hematuria.May pesent as glomerulonephritis.
Investigations
Urine should be differentiated from pigmenturia.Urinary dipsitck testing for intact RBC in blood,also detect myoglobin, hemoglobin etc.
Microscopic exmination RBC' s.
Culture. X - ray K.U.B.
Stone.Tumor,Papilloma,Carcinoma,Stone.,Diverticulum,T.B.
Intra venous urography.
Angiography.
Scanning,Biopsy,Cystoscopy.
Next Steps
Urine volume should be maintaind to
prevent clots & obstuction in lower urinary tract.

Hi.... Most stones that cause renal colic are small and pass out with the urine in a day or so. You should drink plenty of fluids to encourage a good flow of urine. Strong painkillers are often needed to ease the painuntil you pass the stone. No other treatment is usually needed.
Some stones that form and stick in the kidney do not cause symptoms or any harm. They can just be left if they are small.
