Bleeding after pregnancy

Asked for Female, 25 Years

My friend missed her periods and hence did the hpt. She found it to positive. She doctor for ultrasound but no sac was found or seen. Then she went to doctor for which the doctor said that may be implantation have not happened yet and asked to wait for 7 days. During this period she had some spotting for few days and then heavy bleeding for 3-4 days along with big clots. The bleeding was for 4 days and then it was almost over, but then again started on the seventh day with severe cramps. Is she still pregnant? Can she do the home pregnancy test now or should she wait till bleeding ends?
