Hi Doctor,
I underwent a Day 5 embryo transfer on 20 May. My
beta hCG test on 3 June was positive, and the value was 930 mIU/mL. On 11 June, I had an ultrasound scan, and my doctor informed me that the baby's heartbeat had formed and everything looked good.
However, on the same night, I noticed light spotting. The next morning, about one hour after receiving my blood tinner injection, I started having bleeding. The bleeding was not very heavy, but it was more than spotting (moderate bleeding). I immediately consulted my doctor. She gave me two injections, advised me to take complete rest for one week, stopped my blood thinner medication, and changed my progesterone injections from alternate days to daily until my next scan.
My concern is:
1. Is it safe to stop the blood thinner medication temporarily as advised by my doctor?
2. What precautions should I take during this one-week period to support the pregnancy?
3. Is bleeding after seeing a fetal heartbeat common in IVF pregnancies
