Bleeding after 4 years of ovary removal
Dear Doctor, My mother had cyst in 2017. Those cyst and both ovaries were removed through laproscopy. Now in 2022 she is getting bleeding just like occurs at the time of periods. What would be the reason for it? Does it happens with most of the cases wherein the both ovary and cyst are removed. Please guide on this.

It can happen because there are some Ectopic tissues which may be secreting oestrogen and progesterone.  So the endometrial lining of uterus will respond. However it is not clear that when both ovaries were being removed,  why they didn't remove the uterus.  After all,  now uterus can only have diseases. Please get your mother checked.  She should have  internal examination and colposcopy.  If cervix of the uterus is diseased,  she may bleed and the cause will be seen only by internal examination.
