Upon review these were the findings-
C/c-Upper jaw gums dark
H/o Smoking
Elaborately these are to be done for-
Smoking cessation, habit breaking counseling
Provisional diagnosis-

Gingivitis, periodontitis
Diagnostic tests-
Orange peel appearance of healthy gingiva
Treatment advise for-
Smoking cessation and habit breaking, please consult pulmonologist for counseling.
From the history you have provided shorter duration of gums darkening due to melanin pigmentation prominence while ageing. No other apparent cause. If there is any other complaint of gingiva like bleeding gums, pain, loosening of teeth it's gingival and periodontal pathology. You did not provide intraoral photographs to see if any staining of teeth.
The melanin pigmentation of gingiva occurs more in the upper front teeth region with buccally less prominent.
