Bitten by a Rat
Hi Doctor,
I got bitten by a rat on July 8th and didn't seek any treatment at that time. Fortunately, the wound has healed without any issues. However, I'm wondering if I should have taken a tetanus toxoid (TT) shot back then. Given the situation, would it be advisable to get a TT shot now? Looking forward to your guidance

Though late, but better to take shot of Tetanus toxoid. If the cut by bite was a clear wound, then take ARV as well.

If you have received a Tetanus toxoid (TT) injection within the past 10 years, there is no need for another shot at this time.
If not, then go for it.
