Is bipolar disorder a severe mental illness..a girl having bipolar disorder is not eligible for marriage...someone said it is mentioned in law slso a female having bipolar disorder is not able for marriage...what medical science said abt this...plz guide correctly ...bcoz most of the girls suffer they think they are not able for marraige...

Based on the severity of the disease and compliance to medications they can marry after informing to spouse family…with gud maintenance of drugs they can marry and also bear children too….

It is a very tricky issue as per the current law. It states that marriage can be considered null and void if either party is suffering from a mental illness that prevents them from having a normal married life. Many patients who are on treatment can lead an absolutely normal life but ideally one must not hide the illness and treatment from the other party.
