My mother had a breast lump on left side. She had mammography and USG done and was given BIRADS 4c. Later after FNAC it was mentioned suspicious for fibroadenoma and benign phyllodes tumor. She was suggested excision biopsy. Will recurring happen? If yes, will it be removed again? What are the other alternative treatment other than removal?

Hello…First try to get it biopsied for confirmation of the pathology and if it turns out to be non cancerous then you can either get it removed or keep a close observation but in case if it turns out to be malignant then it needs a surgical oncologist help for surgical removal and also further staging evaluation is also needed
You must get a biopsy done, to confirm, and if needed get the breast lump removed to confirm the nature and understand it's implications on her health. Please feel free to contact for further consultation.
