Bedwetting
Respected sir/ madam My son is 7 yrs old but he still has problem of bedwetting. What shud be done. Is it normal...frequency is atleast five days in a week.

Check if there is a family history of bedwetting as family history is positive in 50% of cases. Or the child snores during sleep as adenoidectomy very often cures nocturnal eneuresis. Restrict fĺuid intake to not more than 2 ounces after 6- 7 pm. Make the child void urine just before sleeping Wake him up some hours after he has gone off to sleep to void urine. Motivational therapy could work for instance giving him star chart for dry nights.

Though it's normal. Here are some things you can try- 1. Reduce fluid intake like water/milk after 6pm 2. Take baby to toilet before sleeping 3. Wake him up every 2 hours for going to toilet in the night 4. Try sleep whispering
