Excision of Bartholin cyst (removal of the whole gland) is a half hour procedure. It is done under regional anesthesia. If it is done in the morning time ( by 11 AM) then the patient can go home in the evening. Otherwise she goes home next day.
Post operative care is simple. Patient can do it at home.
