Bad breath may be due to multiple reasons, few of them may be due to having cold and cough, underlying medical conditions like diabeties, tooth decay, gums swelling and bleeding, dry mouth (xerostomia), certain medications, bowel disturbances..etc.   Drink lots of water and keep yourself hydrated which is one of the steps you can follow to avoid dry mouth and use mouth wash like Listerine to prevent bad breath for some time.    And please visit a dentist to know the remidy if your dry mouth still does not come under control. They will diagnose the underlying cause and treat it appropriately.
