Osteopathy works miracles at times in cases of degenrative joint conditions. No medicine can stop degeneration unless the biomechanics are corrected. Consult an osteopath who could explain you the rationale behind his assessment and treatment plan.
Next Steps
Consult an osteopath...and ask for knee muscles balancing....
Health Tips
poor loading on legs can result in harmful loading on the lumbar spine, the root cause of the problem should be treated.

Hi Degenerative changes in the knee may lead to altered biomechanics and load to hip and spine. Need to evaluate fully clinically before taking any decision. Consult good sports medicine or orthopedician for the complete workup.

There could be multiple reasons for it. 1) it could be because of altered walking pattern that she has attained because of the chronic knee pain 2) It could be an age related degeneration of the lower back that is the lumbar spine like lumbar spondylosis or lumbar canal stenosis that’s causing the pain.
Next Steps
Please visit the nearest Physiotherapy clinic for further evaluation and diagnosis of the same.

Back pain can be because of poor posture,  poor walking pattern because of knee pain or muscle weakness. If the pain in back is constant and not traveling towards legs then, there are more chances that pain is because of muscle weakness or posture related.
Next Steps
posture correction with back strengthening exercises along with knees strengthening exercises.
Health Tips
she can do hot fermentation for 15 minutes on the area where she is feeling pain.

Based on her knee position her back position would be, so there are chances of getting back pain.. You have to rule out the cause for her back pain. You should consult a physiotherapist or orthopaedist in person for complete assessment and treatment. If you are planning for knee surgery arthroscopic knee replacement surgery gives quick recovery rather than conventional method. Best arthroscopic surgeons are available in Chennai.

Knee pain and back pain is different,  it is rare that knee pain transverse to back. Take her to physiotherapy clinic. Electrotherapy for 10 days will help reduce back pain. Do not let her stand for prolonged time, no sitting on floor, hot pack twice a day will help reduce pain for the moment.
