With pregnancy there would have been changes to the ligaments and their flexibility. The pregnancy would have also put an increased load in your lumbar spine. You job and posture at work also has a significant effect on your back. Take regular painkillers, start small with the duration of work and gradually increase it. Starting all of a sudden makes the pain worse. Maintain good posture at work. Work on strengthening your core muscles and strengthen your back. Yoga, Pilates and core strengthening is very good. You will have to do this for atleast 6 months to find a significant benefit from it. Hope this helps. Dr Vinu Raj Consultant Spine Surgeon MBBS MRCS FRCS (Trauma&Orth)

Hello..I think your routine activities are stressful.Your back is getting strain. And after delivery muscles will be more weak and might be your posture also changed.Being a software engineer you have to take care of your posture during work time, take frequent break like every one hrly get up from the chair n move around go for to drink water.Sit with full back support don't lean on table, follow ergonomics. For house hold work change some alternative option for temporory or change in way of working. If you having s pain than first go for physio treatment pain relief treatment like IFT & ULTRA SOUND for 1 week followed by back n core strngthening exercise.Do it regularly.

This is seen due to weakness of muscles and lack of physical activity. I would urge you to please start doing back exercises. This will strengthen your back and prevent the back ache from occurring

Hi... Since your back pain started following delivery.. it could be due to core muscle weakness and muscle imbalance that set in following delivery... Your issue can easily solved through some basic streched and strengthening of core muscles ..gluteus muscles strengthening... Reason could be your posture is predisposing for this Issue..and post delivery u haven't recovered out of that issue... On top of it every household work is coupled with forward bending adding to the predisposition... Don't worry... Lie on you back lift your hip up and down by pushing ur butt... 15 times Lie on your back...keep the spine pressed close to the ground...can do some aircycling...do not hold it breath while doing..breath in breath out should be proper.. 20 secs... Lie on your stomach... Arch back with arms by the side.... And Lie on your stomach...with hands kept forward at the shoulder level... arch back completely till ur elbows gets straight..hold that for 5 secs ... Can be done for 10 times Exercises to be done 6days a week atleast for six weeks....
Health Tips
keep icing over the painfully area stretch your butt hamstring muscles frequently.. kindly revert back incase I need any more clarification...
