Can the baby s head get engaged after 38 weeks? I am 38 pregnant ? Is it still possible to have a normal delivery?

Yes if the Biparietal diameter of foetal head is less than 9.3 cm., it can get engaged even at 38 weeks. The Obstetrician knows what is safe. Ask for a trial labour for induction of natural labor

Your age is plus factor. If baby is less than 3kg, and you pelvis broad enough 50% chance of head coming down with pains is there. But usually with floating head they tend to go postmatue . So ask your doctor to induce after evaluating delivery date properly.
