Hi sir / madam,      1. By one year weight should be 3 times birth weight, so his weight is appropriate for his age.    2 . Children between 1 to 3 years have less appetite and it is normal. 3.  Give him variety of foods, but make sure they are soft. 4 . No force feeding 5.  Give him food along with other children and family members

This is a common phase at 11 months. Give him soft, tasty foods like mashed banana, chicken stew, dalia, khichdi, etc. Ensure 3 main meal times and 2 snacks. Even if not eating, make him sit with you all at the table. Give breastmilk but less quantity and offer solids before milk, avoid force feeding, can give paracetamol once or twice if teething is an issue. If reduced activity, low urine output, constant vomiting, developmental delay, poor weight gain, etc. consult doctor

Growth Milestone: It is very encouraging that your son has tripled his birth weight ( to ), which is a key developmental target for the first year. Identify Triggers: Food refusal at 11 months is often a temporary phase caused by teething discomfort, a newfound desire for independence, or the tail-end of a minor illness. Low-Pressure Environment: Avoid force-feeding, as this can create negative associations; instead, offer soft finger foods (like steamed carrots or banana) that he can explore and "play" with at his own pace. Nutritional Focus: Since breastmilk alone lacks sufficient iron for an 11-month-old, prioritize small, frequent tastes of iron-rich foods like fortified cereals, mashed lentils, or eggs. Pediatric Check-up: Schedule a visit with your doctor to rule out underlying issues like iron-deficiency anemia and to ensure his growth remains steady on his specific curve.
