Baby is passing blood streaks in stool
My baby is 3 months old . She has passed stool with blood streaks for past 10 days . Blood test and usg abdomen was normal . Reducing substance trace is positive. I have stopped all dairy products for past 3 days completely. But still if she passes 5 times ..1 or 2 times could see blood streaks. How long will take completely to get back to normal . I had only once cow milk that too I took .. from very next day she started passing stool like this . If I take cow milk .. will that affect baby in breastfeeding

Hi...yes rarely consumption of cow milk by mother can trigger allergy in sensitive babies..u can try shifting the baby to soy protein formula...it might take a week or so for the blood streaks to disappear...but first it's important to confirm its cow milk protein allergy and not some other local condition...for which it's better if u can take an inclinic consultation with a pediatrician

F Dr I check your breasts for crack nipple, sometimes baby swallow blood with milk. This could be the reason. Otherwise give seitz bath daily.

Sometimes animal proteins pass through breastmilk and cause allergies like CMPA . It is better to avoid dairy products in mothers diet and see.
