Dear Sir/ Mam,
My 13.5 months old daughter fell from our bed at 2:00 am . And we thought of asking you as to what shud we do.
Actually she was bleeding from nose and hence we got panicked.
We immediately went to NICU and showed her to Resident doctors.
They said that it is minor nose tissue injury and he prescribed some antibiotics like ZIFI and Ibugesic to her.
But we gave her T98 and she went to sleep.
But she is getting startled during her sleep.
Please advise.
Regards

Bleeding through nose post fall is not good sign!!
Make sure your baby interacts with you as soon as possible also any vomiting or head banging should be kept on high alert,
Kindly look for these symptoms, if none your baby is lucky to have escaped a close dangerous situation pls be more vigilant
Next Steps
at present only crocin is enough
no zifi required
Health Tips
any vomiting/reduced activity/not behaving as previous/abnormal body movement immediately take to nearby pediatrician
Dear parents ,
Don't get panic. Observe any vomiting, sensorial changes ,continue bleeding from nose, convulsion.
Continue antibiotic and ibugesic plus as given.
Any thout, consult a neurosurgeon.
Head injury may be trivial but impact and contact area of head are important.
In ur child there is bleeding from nose
So it's better to get pediatrician consultation and get CT brain done.
Next Steps
If bleeding from nose is persisting or pain is there in the nasal area show to ur family ENT doctor.
Watch for vomiting, altered behavior if any visit nearest hospital immediately
Health Tips
Be careful with children. they are fast in hurting themselves quickly
Antibiotic is not necessary. Paracetamol or ibugesic for pain , you can use 3-4 times/day , for 3 days.
Better to do a CT Brain to see if any internal injury.
