Greetings
It’s completely understandable to be concerned when your son's development feels different.Repeating words and social challenges at nearly three are key signs that need looking into. Please schedule a visit with his pediatrician soon for a formal developmental screening. You can also ask for a referral to a speech therapist or a developmental specialist.
Your child may have speech delay with features that need developmental assessment. Repeating words (echolalia), poor social interaction and hyperactivity can sometimes be seen in autism spectrum disorder, but proper evaluation is needed before labelling as autism.
Early intervention is very important and gives better improvement when started early.
Meanwhile:
• Reduce mobile/screen exposure
• Increase face-to-face talking/play
• Read picture books daily
• Encourage eye contact and interactive games
