Give 3 mL thrice daily for 3 days. Won’t cause sedation with low doses. Apply calamine lotion too. Avoid sour foods. Do not apply powder on the body. Give lots of fluids orally.

Hello, Since your child has red bumps that may be associated with itching, Atarax (hydroxyzine) was prescribed. The prescribed dose is appropriate. you may also give 5 mL twice daily. Atarax is an antihistamine and can cause drowsiness, which is a common side effect. If excessive sleepiness is your main concern, you can discuss switching to a less sedating antihistamine, such as Allegra syrup.. For reddish bumps you can use calamine lotion or Atarax lotion..

Greetings dose of 5ml of Atarax 2mg syrup given three times daily equals a total of 30 mg of hydroxyzine per day. For an infant weighing 8.8 kilograms, this dosage represents approximately 3.4 mg/kg/day, which is significantly higher than standard, consensus-based pediatric maintenance guidelines of 1 to 2 mg/kg/day for treating pruritus or allergic conditions. Sedation, marked drowsiness, and a dry mouth are very common, expected side effects of first-generation antihistamines in infants, though paradoxically, excitability can also occur. U can give alternative medicine like levocet
