Your child is having autism along with ADHD, 2 spectrums of similar disease group since a long duration of more than 1.5 years. It becomes very important to control such kids so that they can focus on therapies and blend in with peers. As far as side effects are concerned, each medicine has some and any medicine is prescribed only after weighing the risk vs benefit ratio which must have been done by your doctor, so you should trust the process and continue therapies with minimal to zero screen time.

Greetings Clonidine is often prescribed for children with ASD and ADHD to help manage hyperactivity, impulsivity, and sleep issues. While it can be effective, common side effects include sleepiness, dry mouth, and dizziness, which should be monitored closely. It’s important to discuss your concerns about these side effects with your daughter’s pediatrician before making any changes. Regarding plant-based alternatives, limited clinical evidence supports their effectiveness for these conditions compared to established medications. Always consult Pediatrician before starting

Clonidine is commonly used in children with autism/ADHD for sleep and settling, and when given in proper dose it is generally safe. Common side effects are sleepiness, mild low BP or irritability, but serious side effects are uncommon when monitored. “Plant based” medicines are not well studied or standardized, so they are not a reliable alternative. If symptoms are significant, better to start clonidine as advised and monitor response.

Do not go by any random article available online or seen over Instagram or any social media.Always be vigilant for baby activity and improvement. If any thing not good then inform your treating doctor,he/she will do changes in dose or medication.Herbal product in this time not sure of authenticity as our normal food is also adulterated so herbal medicine we don't know how much authentic.Atleast in allopathic medicine if you go by brand which follows government guidline then atleast safety is assured.Just follow your doctor advise and keep track of improvement of your child
