At her age, the most common cause of knee pain is Osteoarthritis. In simple words, the knee has started developing wear and tear. Try the following: *Apply hot water bag (10 minutes twice a day) *After applying hot water bag, apply Nobel Gel *Tab Flexon (1 tablet after lunch and 1 tablet after dinner for 7 days) (if you are not allergic to it) *Tab Pantakind (1 tablet before breakfast in the morning for 7 days) *Avoid sitting sleeping on the floor *Avoid using stairs as much as possible *Avoid using Indian Toilet. Use a Western style toilet or a foldable toilet chair. *Do the exercise given in the video below: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bE3xkOIekiU&t=3s
Next Steps
Follow the above steps and do let me know if she has pain relief after 1 week.

Hi. The most probable cause seems to be osteoarthritis although other causes may also need to be looked for depending on the history and examination. The mainstay for the treatment will be pain management and physiotherapy exercises. Yes it is encouraged for the patients to go for regular walking on level ground as it strengthens the muscles surrounding the knee joint and improves mobility.
