Manage a 10.8mm appendix with a home diet focused on anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric, ginger, and omega-3 rich foods, while increasing fiber intake through fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, and staying hydrated, under the guidance of a healthcare professional.

First of all, does she have appendicitis? This seems to be her own diagnosis. Please ask her to consult a General Surgeon in her area for a physical examination and further management.

For mild cases of appendicitis, antibiotics can sometimes be an effective treatment option. Research indicates that certain antibiotics may work as well as surgery for uncomplicated appendicitis, especially when the appendix is not at risk of bursting12. However, surgery remains the standard treatment, particularly for more severe cases or when there’s a risk of complications12. It’s important for your friend to discuss her specific case with her healthcare provider to determine the best course of action based on her symptoms, overall health, and any other underlying conditions34. If you need more detailed information or have any other questions, feel free to ask!
