Anxiety medicines
Hello I have anxiety disorder and i am on medication. A doctor prescribed me inderal 20mg in morning Etilaam 0.25 mg in afternoon and paxidep 12.5 mg in night.. I have a baby of 6.5 mnths old and i breastfeed him. Can i take these medicines while breastfeeding? Also another doctor prescribed me Amitop 25 mg. So which medicines are better and will be safe ?

Hi Inderal and paxidep can be used during breastfeeding. However etilaam can cause some sedation in baby.  So watch for sign of excessive sedation in baby and if baby has some sedation then stop it and consult your doctor again. Amitop can be used but it has more side effects compare to above mentioned medicine. So decide carefully. Thanks
