Anxiety, Depression and insomnia
Dear Sir, My mother is having treatment for anxiety, depression and insomnia disorder since last 4 years from same allopathic doctor and doctor has prescribed medicines like depaxil cr plus 25 and loratig 1 which is for anxiety depression and insomnia. And patient is very fine with these medicines and but patient is unable to quit these medicines permanently. Can we replace these medicines with any good aayurvedic medicines like Astrel's D- stress and Himalaya's Tagara sleep wellness. Please suggest. BR Ankit Tripathee

If your mother's bodytype is heat body, she can try Patanjali's (divya Medha vati) for all above symptoms after dinner with milk or water.

Hello my friend, I understand your concern. You can certainly adopt Ayurvedic Treatment, But quitting the current medication all of a sudden is not at all advisable. Tapered dose management is needed. As far as Ayurvedic Treatment is concerned, these classic preparations are widely used in such cases, * सारस्वतारिष्ट - 4 teaspoon twice a day with equal amount of water. * ब्राम्ही वटी - 1 tablet twice a day. * सर्पगंधा वटी - 1 tablet twice a day. (Check BP) - Adopt healthy lifestyle. - Practice meditation. - भ्रामरी प्राणायाम - gives great results. - कपालभाती - has got long list of benifits, helps  increase secretion/production of happy hormones. Hi, Quitting  4 years therapy all of a sudden is not at all advisable. Instead, I will suggest to start Ayurvedic medicines, adjuvantly. After that you can gradually reduce the current medicines. Tab Ashwagandha - 2 tablets at bedtime is the best and safe Ayurvedic drug to start with. As well as Shirodhara - a type of Panchkarma therapy will help to relieve symptoms.  
Next Steps
Take tablet Ashwagandha for 1 month. Consult nearby Ayurvedic doctor for Shirodhara. This will be really helpful.
