Most of us tend to try to tackle the issues whenever it arises, mostly by reacting instead of responding. If we try to anticipate problems beforehand & gradually work towards building our physical & mental resilience, then we would be better prepared to handle stress. Since nobody can escape stress, it's better to learn stress management techniques & overall build up physical & mental resilience through exercise, yoga, healthy diet, relaxation techniques, problem-solving & coping techniques. Working on analysing your thinking patterns & behaviour during stress can also help.

If the stress is too overwhelming, affecting your functioning, then you can consult a counsellor who should be able to guide you.
