Anxiety and panic attacks
I lost my dad last October and since the time October has arrived again, I am having constant anxiety and panic episodes. My hands get ice cold, chest feels heavy, the heartbeat starts racing and feel breathless. Is it all because of the trauma and anxiety? Please elaborate.

That’s an Anniversary grief reaction. It’s time bound and will slowly pass by. Be prepared in advance next year. Do not accumulate other stressors about that time. Be close to your family, friends and avoid major changes in life. Make a plan to focus on activities like holding special prayers visiting the cemetery, , donating to a charity of ongoing good work like providing a drinking water cooler, joining a volunteer group etc Remember there is another side to the tunnel. Look ahead. Move on. Over time the intensity will lessen
