Anti depressants
Am on anti depressants medication. A bit concerned about taking the medication while trying to have a baby. My psychiatrist believes it’s safe to take the medication while pregnant. It just has to be properly managed. He also believes I need to take the medication for at least a year.

Pregnancy and post pregnancy are periods which have high probability for mental health issues. If psychiatric problems come back even that will affect mother and baby's health. On the other hand taking the antidepressant medication can have few effects on the baby more in the first 3 months. U need to discuss the risk-benefit of continuing the medications with ur treating doctor in person and come to an informed decision.
