Ankylosing spondylitis  hip inflammatory
Hi, I have been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis and hip inflammatory since 3 it was hard to find a doctor for treating me without any operation. It's been 8 months since I have been consulting him. I was unable to stand or unable to walk with support. But he made me walk within 3 months. Got x-ray report doctor was happy with it. But he is not saying how much I got improved in x-ray and 1 question ( is Ankylosing spondylitis have a permanent cure ?).

Practically the answer is NO. Although the effects and progress of AS can be modulated with medications, biologics, physiotherapy and constant joint movements especially swimming. In case of joint ankylosis, sadly replacement is the only option.
