Ankylosing Spondylitis
I have issues with my right hip and chronic pain near right groin region. I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis around 5 years ago. I take pain killers as SOS. My movement is restricted. Is there any alternative to Total Hip Replacement?

As the movements are restricted and you are experiencing pain, the only option that can help to achieve painless, stable and mobile hip joint is hip replacement. Please consult for further opinion

Hello Unfortunately there are not much options in your condition. I believe hip replacement would be good option based on your level of joint involved. You are young and following surgery your right hip pain will reduce improving your quality of life and movement of right hip joint. But the other joint pain due to Ankylosing would persist.
