Ankle ligament healed
My ankle ligament was partially torn while playing football and now it's healed after 3 months rest. Can anyone tell me how can I get back to ground and start playing slowly? After how much time I can run in speed? Do I need to use ankle brace while playing football?

I hope is was garde 1 injury as u did not do any plaster. Now do focus on Range of motion activities first, if there is any restriction in movement or u are unable to perform full range you can apply wax bath therapy followed my ankle mobilization exercise and stretching by therapist for few weeks, then start active range of motion (without any resistance) followed by single leg standing then followed by resistance exercise by means of theraband (yellow color then green) , then practice walking in field (brisk walk) , after according to your condition like pain or residual swelling start jogging for several week then start practice your game... You need atleast 1 and 1/2 month to reach your goal. Point to be noted : take care of your swelling and residual pain following any exercise or therapy program. Use ice pack, UST , IFT is best . Before staring playing focus on compound ankle movement or exercise like squat etc, stationary bicycling .

It really depends on the intensity of the ligament injury. If it does not involve all the fibres then it's an easier rehab protocol. Otherwise it will be long term and getting on to the field will take a couple of more months. Any haste in getting to the field will result in recurrent injury. Also ensure that you follow through on the instructions of your Physiotherapist. Good luck!

Firstly, Properly rehabilitate the injury. Your orthopedic doctor or physiotherapist will give you exercises for strength, balance and range of motion, in addition to treatments for pain and swelling. The time it takes you to fully heal a sprained ankle depends on the severity of the injury and how hard you are willing to work in rehab. Gradually build up to the speed, intensity and type of movements and specific motions your sport requires. Start small, with straight-ahead motion, and gradually build up to turning, cutting, jumping and other more demanding activities. Use a brace if you still feel some imbalance or pain.
