Ankle fracture after plaster
My mother got fracture on left ankle on 22nd July. And plaster was done and it got removed on 9th September . Today when her xray was done doctor said that bone has not been joined yet( attached xray ). And refused for the plaster. And gave 2 painkillers and suggested for calcium injection worth 20k. Is it worth to do this or should ankle be plastered again? Pl suggest

Xray is not clear. In 1.5 months, xray should show some signs of union. If there are none, then we need to first identify the cause before treating For example if there is soft tissue interposition, then no amount of plaster or injection whether its 20k or 20Lakh will help. If that's not the case, then immoilization + inj teripartide (costs 5-6k) will definitely help.
Next Steps
take clear picture of xray Search for 'Dr Prashant Gupta Orthopedic Surgeon Udaipur ' on Google and contact me
