My mom has developed severe health issues due to her ill-treated anger. She gets extremely angry over very silly things and overreacts for hours on it. She keeps talking about it non-stop for 8-10 hours bringing all past issues happened within 28 years of her marriage. I think, she requires emotional attention from my father which he is unable to provide due to his practical nature probably. Her behavior is severely affecting my sister & me in a bad way. Please help!

If you look from ur Mom's point of view, she feels neglected red. She is actually seeking attention and love and care from you all.
All these years it's suffocating and needs counselling, which would really beneficial to her and in turn for you all.
Hello..Although your query is incomplete, it looks like most probably your mother is going through depression. A lot of women around their menopause have mood swings and depressive symptoms. Since it's affecting her as well as your entire family i guess, it is important to get a psychiatric evaluation. Be patient with her while talking. I know it may be difficult but do not blame her or react to whatever she says. She is going through a tough phase. Small dose of medications will help. Get thyroid and Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D levels.
Hi...... Bring down your general stress levels with exercise and relaxation. Running, walking, swimming, yoga and meditation are just a few activities that can reduce stress. Exercise as part of your daily life is a good way to get rid of irritation and anger....
A typical anger management programme may involve one-to-one counselling and working in a small group.... Consult Psychiatrist for further advice.....
