Not an emergency . Can wait but will need surgery .Better if done earlier., protect from trauma . Needs clinical examination ideally , also share x-rays .

Bone cyst of 2.5 cms wont fracture, but better to treat when they are smaller.
It doesn’t look like cancer, but a bone scan will tell us if the cyst is active or dormant.
Then you will need surgery. A MINIMALLY INVASIVE TREATMENT is possible. We have given mixture of medications including albumin which helps resolve the cyst.
Next Steps
Sooner is better. Now a days covid test is mandatory for anyone undergoing surgery
After confirmation of diagnosis you may benifit from injection into the cyst which can regress the size an relive you of symptoms.
Serial MRI follow ups fr assesment is helpful tool after that if increases may need surgery.
Yes t cyst can Increase in size gradually and would be difficult to treat later and if more than two thirds bone gets involved can cause fracture
Treatment consists of excision of the cyst and thorough curettage and filling up the defect with bone graft
That will assure that you don’t have a pathological fracture and can function normally
Next Steps
Pls do a biopsy for confirmation of diagnosis
Whether it is a malignant or benign tumour
Should do a bone scan to find any other lesion in body
