Anesthesia for Embryo Transfer required
Hi Doctor, Can we take anesthesia during Embryo Transfer?does it cause any impact on the embryo or does IVF fail if anesthesia is taken during Embryo Transfer time? can't bear the Pain of speculam and need your advice.

It’s better to avoid any unnecessary anaesthetic medication. If pain continues after procedure you can opt for oral painkillers.

Embryo transfer does not require Anesthesia. But if you are very anxious then short general Anesthesia or sedation can be used. Contact for further assistance and more information

No anaesthesia needed. The speculum insertion does not cause pain if you co-operate.
