Wrist bone suddenly protruding

Below thumb line base side on my wrist small bone is protruding out with little bit pain when I move my wrist from last 5-7 days suddenly. Kindly confirm if it is normal injury or will need cast and surgery.

Use painkillers for 1 week , if pain and swelling is not resolved then better to go for x. Ray and ultrasound for better understanding.

It's not to worry. It's called ganglion. Use crepe bandage and heating pads twice daily.
