Weakness in body

2026-08-04 08:11:29
Hi, I feel very weak if there is a slight delay in eating. Extreme weakness, hands shaking and fast heartbeat. My blood reports are normal. Vitamin B12 is 300 pg/ml. Fasting sugar and average glucose also within normal range. I have been suffering from acidity and stomach burning since 3 weeks. For which I am taking medicine now. And it has improved. What could be the reason for weakness. Please suggest.

Your symptoms are suggestive of episodes of hypoglycaemia or a rapid fall in blood glucose, although normal fasting sugar and HbA1c do not rule this out. Other possibilities include thyroid disorders, iron deficiency, anxiety, or autonomic dysfunction. I recommend checking blood glucose during an episode (if possible), along with CBC, serum ferritin, TSH, and electrolytes. Eat small, frequent meals with adequate protein and avoid prolonged fasting. If symptoms persist despite normal reports, consult a physician for further evaluation.

Hey there, your symptoms are suggestive of hypoglycemic episodes, especially since they occur when there is a delay in meals and improve after eating. But with normal fasting blood sugar and HbA1c, this needs further evaluation. possibility can include thyroid dysfunction, anemia, anxiety-related symptoms. Or could be your recent gastritis may also be contributing if your food intake has reduced.
Next Steps
I would advise TSH with Free T4, CBC (if not done recently), serum electrolytes, and blood glucose during an episode of symptoms (or as advised by your treating physician). Also a review of your current medications plus most importantly dietary pattern changes.
Health Tips
Avoid prolonged fasting. Have small, frequent meals with adequate protein and complex carbohydrates. Stay well hydrated. If you experience severe palpitations, loss of consciousness, chest pain, or persistent symptoms despite eating, seek immediate medical attention.
