As per routine body check up My vitamin b12 level is 220pg/ml. I am feeling fatigue . Also vitamin D is 28.6 ng/ml. Whether any supplements required

Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. I understand your concern. From your reports: Vitamin B12: 220 pg/ml → this is in the borderline low range. Normal is usually >300 pg/ml. Deficiency can cause fatigue, tingling/numbness, memory issues. Vitamin D: 28.6 ng/ml → this is insufficient. Normal is >30 ng/ml, optimal 40–60 ng/ml. Deficiency can cause tiredness, muscle/joint pain, low immunity. Supplements required: Vitamin B12: You may start an oral B12 supplement (methylcobalamin/cyanocobalamin) after consulting your doctor. In more severe cases, injections are used. Vitamin D: Weekly sachet/tablet of Vitamin D3 (60,000 IU) for 6–8 weeks, then monthly maintenance, along with sunlight exposure and calcium-rich diet. General advice: Include foods rich in B12 (milk, curd, paneer, eggs, fish, meat). Take sunlight exposure 20–30 mins, 3–4 times a week. Balanced diet with fruits, vegetables, nuts. Adequate hydration and regular exercise. When to consult your doctor: If fatigue persists despite supplements. Both are in lower limit of normal. Take more of fortified cereals,  curd, cheese, soya, mushrooms, berries,  almond. Tab vit d 10microgram daily for 30 days. Tab neurobion forte one daily for 30 days.
