My husband is suffering from mouth ulcer which is caused by a tooth penetration in to the inner walls of the cheek. A nerve going very close to the tooth may affect while tooth removal. Please suggest the steps that can be followed for whole process (tooth removal+ulcer treatment) and is there any risk or after effects of this process?

As likely said CBCT scan determines the exact location of nerve . For the ulcer u can apply Mucopain ointment before meals. Dat will relieve pain.

The tooth needs to be removed to stop the ulcer recurring. An xray or cbct scan may be prescribed to check the proximity of the nerve. Please visit a dentist

Hello madam A mouth ulcer caused by impinging tooth is common when the tooth is not in proper alignment. This can be cured by tooth removal. As far as I understand your concern which is for the nerve beneath the tooth, the nerve usually is at some distance. Please verify that location by a dental surgeon. He/she may take an x ray to confirm how safe is it to remove. If a complicated situation, then please consult an oral surgeon. They are specialized for doing such cases. Hope this helps.
