Traumatic Ulcer
Hi Doc I have an ulcer since 4 weeks, it's confirmed traumatic ulcer by Dentist and ENT it's tiny and red. Dentist said the ulcer will go away with time and Rounded off the teeth. The ulcer is still painful.
My question are traumatic ulcers painful and how many weeks it takes for the healing. My rounded of teeth is still pressing over the ulcer is it risky?
Can traumatic ulcers turn into cancer?

Hi! Generally an ulcer subsides in 7-10 days,important part is we need round of the sharp edges of tooth that are constantly traumatising the tongue! Take vit. b complex and plenty of water ,it will definitely help

Your ulcer should heal once the sharp teeth are smoothened in 2 weeks. Use the oral ulcer gel given by your dentist to help it heal and a becozinc supplement everyday.
Rounded teeth hitting the ulcer is fine
Do not disturb the ulcer.If sharp teeth keep poking for a long time creating ulceration, yes it may be dangerous

Meanwhile avoid very hot, spicy , hard and acidic foods for 2 weeks. if not healed in 2 weeks, kindly visit your dentist again so they would change the medication
