Hi, recently I went to thyroid test. My t3,t4 results are normal and TSH is slightly elevated to 7.0. i have consulted two doctors. One said no need to thyroid medication and the other doctor said you should start with thyronorm25mcg dose daily. Previous 7ys ago i got gestational thyroid and that time my dose was 50mcg. Pls help with the right amount of dosage

Your thyroid function tests indicate that you have subclinical hypothyroidism.Treatment is required if you have any symptoms related to hypothyroidism , your TSH level is above 10 and if you are planning for pregnancy.you need to monitor your thyroid function tests periodically at this time.

Because T3, T4 levels are normal, we don't really need to prescribe the medicine at the moment. It indicates subclinical hypothyroidism, grade 1. Just keep on monitoring your levels.
